2020 was such a difficult for everyone, lockdown saw the whole of the wedding industry completely come to a standstill overnight. My heart broke reading the dozens of emails from couples desperately trying to rearrange their wedding day plans.
After a really tough few months, it was lovely when we were finally able to enjoy weddings again, albeit a little bit smaller than we were used to.
Rachel & Jon booked me at short notice after deciding to hold a small intimate wedding at their local church and then a small family get together in the back garden at home. Everything was done within covid guidelines. Food was delivered in individual picnic parcels and socially distant tables per family were set up underneath a marquee.
It couldn’t have been anymore perfect and it just goes to show that what really does matter on your wedding day is the people around you… and I think after the last couple of years, that’s something we all appreciate a whole lot more.
